Welcome! All of the websites on this page have been created by young people like me. They offer tremendous variety and their quality is superb. On these sites, you'll find games to play, message boards to chat on and tons and tons of well researched, well presented information. If you're under 18, enjoy animal rights campaigning and haven't got your own website, give it a go!
www.crueltystopshere.piczo.com
CASH (Cruelty to Animals Stops Here) is a relatively new organisation for under 16's. On their website you'll find essential information which will help you become (or stay) veggie, a list of veggie celebs and links. If you become a member of CASH you'll get an e-magazine, campaign updates and recognition on the site plus access to the exclusive members area.
www.helptheanimals.me.uk
This extremely well designed website is devoted to Animal Lovers UK. It's not likely to appeal to boys due to the pink colour scheme but I think it's cute. There's a nice little introduction too. Here you'll find information, pictures and links plus a guestbook to leave your comments in.
www.freewebs.com/animaltrusts
The Animal Trust was started in the year 2000 by Chris Mustoe. Its members take part in sponsored activities and donate the money they raise to organisations such as Animal Aid and Viva! They also collect 'essentials' such as tinned pet food, old blankets and cleaning supplies which they donate to local animal shelters.
www.votas.zoomshare.com
The Voice of the Animals Society (VOTAS) and their website is run by Jas Sykes and his friend Rachel. It includes tons of information, competitions which offer great prizes, message boards to chat on and plenty of links to other useful sites. Plus, because it's aimed specifically at young people, this site contains no graphic images.
www.animalshaverights.zoomshare.com
This website which is also run by Rachel is very cute. It includes a blog, a photo album and a membership scheme. Members can earn little smileys which appear beside their name on the home page. There is also a list of links which are worth checking out.
www.animalxcore.zoomshare.com
With no cute pictures and no pink in sight, this website is sure to appeal to boys who find other animal activists' sites too 'girlie'. The site features message boards and a blog as well as links to other related sites. Although the site encourages activism, it shows awareness of the laws surrounding protest too. It's definitely worth a visit.
www.cacta.piczo.com
The CACTA (Campaigning Against Cruelty to Animals) site which is run by Rosa Tarry contains a message board, plenty of accurate but easy to understand information and links and gives you the opportunity to subscribe to a cool e-newsletter. This site is also free from graphic images and is really 'funky' looking in lilac and white.
www.totalliberation.co.uk
Run by Nicci Tapping and Natasha Simpkins, this website contains up-to date news, action alerts, message boards and TV/Radio links with no graphic images but some really cute graphics.
www.freewebs.com/chickensinneed
This site devoted to battery farming and cruelty to poultry is run by Elise Downing. It includes all the information about battery farming a young activist could need, plenty of opportunities to 'talk back' and links.
www.prettylittlepaws.zoomshare.com
This cute pink site has the tagline 'the pet lovers site'. It's certainly that. On here you'll find a blog, a photo album and a 'star' club which anybody can join. It's not good from an information point of view but if you're potty about pets, you'll find kindred spirits here. Post pics of your pets in the album, look at other people's pets and discuss them in the blog to your heart's content.
www.animal-cruelty-ox.piczo.com
This site belongs to Eleanor Hancock. I love it so much! I adore cats and it's full of them. I especially like the kitten on the home page. Anyway, you'll also find a selection of videos, banners, links and lots of info about factory farming. Don't forget the guestbook!
www.freewebs.com/scotland4animals
This is the website of a new Scottish animal rights group (Scotland 4 Animals) run by Lisa Good. The group aims to unite Scottish youth in promoting animal rights and I love this site. It includes recipes, veggie info, a list of celebrity veggies to give you some inspiration, links and a guestbook. I'm also rather fond of the cute background.
www.freewebs.com/veggibunny
This great new veggie site is run by a good friend of mine. It includes recipes, tips for new veggies and a veggie food diary (now why didn't I think of that?!). There's a links section and a guestbook too and I love the silver background.
http://pages.matmice.com/home/veggie_cooking
This great Matmice page includes recipes, a guestbook and a cool hidden message. I especially like the tie-dye green background and think the secret message board is a really good idea. Maybe I'll get one too...
http://pages.matmice.com/home/if_you_loved_animals
Another cool Matmice page, this page is full of information about animals reared for meat, not forgetting fish, live export and slaughter. There are great pictures too and a guestbook. I love the background as well.
